We regularly visit Shayne and Janine at North Canterbury Seafood
Market,they know fish! Certainly much better than I do and I trust their opinion and advice. Not to
mention their fish is always amazingly fresh, so ideal for sashimi, ceviche or other light cures. But more than that,
they have a similar ethos regarding where and how the fish they sell are caught and treated. All important things to

A couple of weeks ago we had a few of centimetres of snow, not much, but it hung around long enough for our wee
man to experience making his first snow person, taste and fling a few handfuls towards his sisters. Of course any
play in the snow creates mega appetites so we were all very glad to come back inside for this Bowl of

Yes, I am still alive... although it might seem things are a little pear shaped around here. I've been keeping myself occupied, at least occasionally with various photography and recipe development
assignments, besides running after an (extremely cute, clever and loveable) now 22 month old. As I continually
promise my friend Ilva, (who recently
celebrated 10 YEARS! of blogging!) I'll try to do better here.
