Today I want to introduce another of my most favourite bloggers; actually this amazing woman is a bit of a hero of mine.
Snowy Mountain Mama lives as her name would suggest in the heart of the Snowy Mountains, New South Wales, Australia.

In this very remote area of Australia's highest mountain range, she and her gorgeous family raise, shoot, grow, harvest, make, cure and bake pretty much all their own food, all year round.
I'm in awe when she describes the lunch spread out in the image she posts - Sourdough baked from the new starter she's just developed, butter churned from rich cream off her lovely Jersey girl, venison bresaola cured after a weekends hunt, eggplant pickles and fresh feta cheese finish her home-grown sandwich.

Not only does Skye (that's her real name) create all this amazing food completely from scratch, she is also mum to 3 of the most precious girls, (including identical twins!) and shares a delightful flickr stream of life's often poignant and beautifully moving moments. I can and do frequently spend hours browsing her stunning captures.
