It is a great privilege for me to welcome Ilva Beretta from Lucullian Delights as the first outside contributor to my new magazine styled blog and this Autumn Issue.

I'm am a huge admirer of Ilva - not only of her luscious photography, her amazingly simple and yet ingeniously creative and delicious recipes - but also as a most wonderful and generous person. I'm so pleased to have got to know her through our food blogging and feel we've known each other for many more years than we actually have. Together we share a little of almost every day corresponding and hopefully it won't be too long before we meet in person.

Although Ilva is currently enjoying Spring in the beautiful Italian province of rural Tuscany she shares two of her favourite comforting recipes for when the weather closes in and becomes chillier.
