Welcome back! I've been waiting patiently, hopefully! The ice cream looks divine... too bad it's 4 degrees here.

Cheers,

Glad you took the camera. The girls are precious & are having a whale of a time. What fun the day must have been, with coming home to David's ice-cream, the icing on the cake! That scoop looks GOOD!

wow Bron - ripples and everything!

Waikuku looks so familiar - very typical of those long flat beaches in NZ, always good for a long walk (kids, dogs: optional but added fun) and for finding various treasures. So.. any pipis? :)

I'm a HUGE fan of The Perfect Scoop. I've got some of that toasted coconut ice cream in my freezer right now!

Cheers,

Hi, I found your blog through David's post.

Your pictures look gorgeous!! And what an ingenious idea to ripple sorbet through ice cream! I never thought of that before. I'll definitely be trying this sometime in the future (when it's warmer here in US). I also love the Perfect Scoop and recently made the Pear Caramel ice cream.

Oh Bron, I'm sooooo jealous looking at those wonderfully summery pics! David's blog is the best - I'm hoping that when we move to our new house with an extra freezer, I will have space to make ice cream more regularly, and then I'm definitely buying his book. Your ice cream pics are stunning!

I looooooooooove both the book and the toasted ice-cream recipe - oh, that was so delicious! My partner got me the book for Christmas, and we've already ploughed through quite a few. Love your photos of Waikuku, too - I just wish some of that beautiful summer weather would return!
