Fresh, simple and so good ! I should give a try at this way of making pesto.

This is fabulous Bron! I can imagine how lovely it would be over some warm potatoes! We live right in the middle of the city, as in smack in the business district, so there are tons of take-away opportunities for when we are feeling lazy (and since there are so many call centers here a lot of the fast food is open 24 hours!)...but I always feel a bit bad after buying take-out -- like we could have had something better, healthier, and cheaper!, if only I had used what we had or did a quick run for some fresh fish or meat, or even just thrown together some pasta and veg. I love how you have fresh produce in your garden, not to mention fresh air (!!!)...reading your blog is me living that life vicariously! You are always a breath of fresh air :) Thank you from the bottom of my city-exhaust-clogged heart! :)

YES! You are blogging, see, you can if you want. Pesto and potatoes is such a great combination but then I think, as the Swede I am, that potatoes are good with almost anything! And now you made me hungry, it's 10 am here and I want to eat lunch NOW! Bad Bron, bad!

Hi Bron

Just wanted to drop you a line as your blog combines two things that I love - food and New Zealand!!

I was in New Zealand nearly ten years ago and still dream about the fantastic vegetable muffins I had - they never seem to taste as good when I have tried my own recipes here in Scotland. I also visited Akaroa - but I must have missed the fish farm. I worked in Norway for a salmon farming company and always looking for new recipes for this yummy fish.

LOVE YOUR BLOG!!! I will be back! :-)))

Now that's a simple way to dress up a spud! Thanks, Bron.

I've got a set of Wustof's too! Aren't they the best?! :)

Those new potatoes look like gorgeous big glossy pearls. Beautiful.

I am so making that tonight! BTW, your soup totally cured me! I think I ate most of it on my own!!
Your pictures are making my stomach growl!

I am absolutely in love with the lighting of your photographs.

Oh wow! Salmon with some form of potatoes and salad is such a wonderful standby dish. I am going to check out the pesto recipe as we don't make our own nearly often enough - for precisely the reasons you mention :)
