What a fun night out. I have always had a fascination with sparklers that stayed with me from my early childhood.

The way that grainy mustard sinks into the soup is certainly interesting...

What a lovely fun time you guys had!!! Well done Bron. The soup sounds divine and I am going to make it. Made the other one you posted and it was delicious. I always have a few sparklers lying around my place as my 4yr old grandson has a total fascination for them and we use them to celebrate birthdays (stick them in the cake, light and then sing happy birthday!!) Your winter header is stunning!

Aren't sparklers so much fun?! Looks like you had a good time. The soup sounds like something that my family would love. Lovely photos.

Oh Bron, that looks almost as much fun as your apple-picking day :) And I *love* the bowl that you served the soup in...

I didn't realise bonfire night was done in New Zealand. I'll take any excuse to watch a good fireworks display...your soup looks delicious.

Bron, this sounds like a perfect night...being cozy with the family, good food, warmth, and sparklers! I imagine New Zealand to be a magical place from the bits that you share with us :) Happy Winter! I love the new banner!

p.s. please send me a bucket of snow for my poor-overheating self!

What a gret post Bron! It might be my French catching up but what is "a cup of billy tea"? Just by the sound of those pasties, I am hungry for your nana's! Have you ever posted the recipe?
The soup looks perfect for a cold night and your new header is beautiful!
