What a wonderfully tasty and rustic looking loaf! Forget the toppings, I think I'd be happy with a slice just slightly toasted all on it's lonesome!

Hay, great photos! (As always). Many thanks for the entry to Waiter, Bron - am very envious of you owning your own walnut tree by the way.

Oh, fabulous. I love the look of the beetroot pickles - so very elegant, which is not something you often get to say about pickles!

We don't have access to fresh nuts here, ever, but I do have a bag of walnuts in the cupboard going stale. I'm sure this would make a wonderful late-night snack, even in spring...

(And your pictures are, as always, incredible.)

That looks sooo good! Beetroot isn't nearly as common here, but I wish it was.

Thanks Ellie, we enjoyed it so much I'm thinking of making it again this week!

Hi Linda, beetroot sure is yum, so I can understand having an addiction!

That beetroot pickle looks awesome - and coming from a life-long beetroot avoider like myself, that's quite a compliment! The bread looks so good I can almost smell it - what a fab contribution!

I am just getting back into beets (a lifetime of hating them) but I really like the idea of putting a blue cheese or other type of cheese to contrast with them! Thanks!
