We grew Maori potatoes from Koanga Garden but now I don't think they are all growing well this year. We didn't get good crops of them this year, a bit sad really. I just love the flavour of the Maori potatoes and their color is pretty, too. I saw them sold at the Farmers Market. I've never thought to make wedges out of them. I would do that next time!

I love those potatoes but the whole dish just begs to be eaten.
Beautiful.

Ah, tutaekuri! My mum grows them, as well as Moe Moe, Wherowhero (has a red skin with white flesh) and some others, the names of which I can't recall. I've seen them being sold at the farmers market in Hastings too. That's a mighty feed you've made there, Bron!

I have never heard of tataekuri.. but it looks like it goes hand and hand with this dish. We love lamb at our house, though we don't have it often.. I would hope that my meal looks just like your when it's finished but for some reason it rarely turns out that way!
