Bron, it's amazing how differently Christmas is celebrated in different parts of the world! Here, in Estonia, it's just snow, candles, fairylights, Christmas trees, Jõuluvana/Father Yule (well, Santa then), and his little helpers. Apart from joyous music, it's all pretty calm and peaceful, very Nordic:) Your celebrations look so much more lively and colourful, almost like a Carnival!!

Ooh, my girlfriends are in NZ at the moment, I'll have to ask them whether they were fortunate enough to see this parade! The AntCam guy looks hilarious - I wonder how long it took to make that costume!

Wow those are really fabulous pictures of a fun fun time. That AntCam man looks incredible; I wonder how long the costume lasts and if he has to repair it a lot along the way. The color is so beautiful. Every photo just yells FUN!!

Hi Bron,
Great photos of the Santa Parade. Its a credit to the whole of Canterbury. Unfortunately I missed seeing it this year. I was knee deep in latte's at the time. Glad to see the kids enjoyed it.
Cheers,
Paul

It looks like it was a fun day. I can understand you not being able to catch a shot of Santa, he's a busy man, after all, wrapping my presents!!! :-)

Talking about presents, you are so good with your blogging by post - i was so jealous that your recipient got some macarons... times like this i wish i live in New Zealand. *pouts*

I've met Sam! Nice boy. We haven't been to a Santa parades for a few years and this year our local Christmas Carols evening clashed with something else. I'm hoping I'll get to one when we are in Australia.
