I guess this is the first one of the HHIDD events I've read the round up on. Didn't know I'd be voting. So I hope I can go read the rest of these and come back and vote.
Some I read regularly, the new ones I'll check out.
It really is impressive.

hey, my name is Deb, I am a Brit but I live in Los Angeles. I am having a Donna Hay party on Sept 4th, and will be making dishes from Donnas' many brilliant books.

I am not sure what drinks to serve, I am keeping the wine to Australian , thats easy, but I am not sure of really good Australian, NZ cocktails? What do you drink out there, any ideas, I would be really grateful for any help.

The photographs on your blog are fabulous, by the way, what camera do you use??? My friend has a food blog, and she is trying to get the pics better quality.

Hope your party goes well on the 4th!
Donna Hay often has several cocktail ideas towards the back of her magazine, last Christmas she featured a 'Donnatini' which sounds appropriate for a "Donna Hay Party" to me!
Hope this helps


150ml (4 and 3/4 fl oz) vodka
30ml (1 fl oz) dry vermouth
5ml (1 teaspoon) blue curacao
ice cubes
2 lemon twists to serve

Pour Vodka, vermouth and blue curacao into a cocktail shaker. Add ice and shake to chill. Strain into chilled martini glasses and place a lemon twist in each glass to serve. Makes 2
