I like the use of cardamon. Very pretty!

What a yummy flavour combo Bron. I love quinoa! Some chopped dates might go well with this - must try it out. Gorgeous photos as always too!

Those apricots look divine, and I love the idea of an almond meal crumble!

This looks wonderful! I'm always trying to find new gluten-free crumbles to make for my Mum, as she always sticks to her own recipe (walnuts, sugar, butter, rye flour) while I usually want to try something new. Once I get home from travelling, I'm absolutely trying this one out. Though may have to switch out the apricots for apples and boysenberries, as Mum isn't into apricots. Do you think these different fruits would suit the flavour combination of the crumble?

oh, what a sad story of our apricot trees. I think we have been to ambitious to grow them in Auckland weather and climate. We're going to pull all our cherry and apricot trees this year and replace them with plums or peaches. We hardly harvest anything from them. A waste to the space. Do you grow your own apricot, Bron? They look fresh. Crumble looks good!

Apricots, together with a South African speciality called yellow cling peaches, are a total weakness for me... I love their fuzzy skins, their faint blush and their tart taste, and the apricots you get here are without fail a disappointment. When I go home, I stand in the supermarket produce section fondly fondling the apricots and peaches until security discreetly asks me to move on ;-) While grocery shopping last week, I cracked and bought 6 imported, air-freighted, evil, homseick curing South African apricots. I am eating them one at a time to stretch the pleasure, and it was worth every airmile. I love the spices in these and am definitely bookmarking them for summer. Stunning pics, as always...
