Of course I would like to have the vanilla sugar and extract !
I would use them to bake a sweet potato cake from my home island (so long I've not eaten one...).
Now, I go to discover the new issue !

Oh, I would sooooo love that. I had great intentions of making homemade vanilla extract this year to give for gifts - just hasn't happened!! I love making my own ice cream, so some of that would definitely find its way into some homemade vanilla ice cream, and I think that the vanilla sugar would get sprinkled over a big tray of stone fruits (as soon as they get a little more plentiful) and roasted and of course served with some of that ice cream. And some would also find its way into my Apricot & Vanilla Jam - yum :-)

I only heard about vanilla sugar for the first time when I went to Germany then subsequently tried to make some of the German food.

Im going to try making German Christmas Cookies this year, Vanillekipferln. The vanilla sugar would be great for that!

Im going to make Stollen again too, coz its just so yummy!!
